San Miguel Presents Picturehouse Pop-Up in London!

POP-Up-Lock-UpThe San Miguel Picturehouse Pop-Up is heading to London this summer with a series of outdoor screenings in West Norwood and Dulwich.

The screenings take place in the open, with a limited number of deckchairs available on a first come first served basis. We will also have cardboard ‘bumbox’ seating available for sale but feel free to bring along small picnic chairs – however these must be placed towards the rear of the cinema area.

This is a licensed event, so we cannot accept any alcohol brought in from outside, however a Bar will be open for beer and wine sales. You are welcome to bring a picnic!


Norwood Park, West Norwood

The San Miguel Picturehouse Pop-Up makes its maiden visit to West Norwood with three screenings at Norwood Park. Withnail & I, Clueless AND Aliens. What more could you want?

Screenings will take place around 9.15, or as soon as it becomes dark.You are invited to arrive early, relax and enjoy a drink in the surroundings. Gates will open at 7.00.

Withnail & I (15)

The finest cult comedy known to humanity! Fed up with London, two ‘resting’ (i.e. unemployed) actors – a drifter (McGann) and his outrageous flatmate Withnail (Grant) – embark on a weekend in the countryside that soon turns into a hilarious disaster, especially when Withnail’s terrible Uncle Monty (Griffiths) turns up. Screening in a newly restored version that returns the look of the original 35mm print.

JAGS Sports Club, Dulwich

East Dulwich Picturehouse & Café has teamed up with JAGS Sports Club to present two evenings of outdoor screenings at the JAGS Sports Club, Red Post Hill, Dulwich.

Screenings will take place around 9.15, or as soon as it becomes dark.You are invited to arrive early, relax and enjoy a drink in the surroundings. Gates will open at 7.00.

Please note: Cycling or walking is the best way to get to us as parking is extremely limited. Alternatively we are on the P4 and 37 bus routes, and within walking distance of North Dulwich and East Dulwich rail stations.

Any of you who had the good fortune to grow up in the ’80s will surely remember this classic, with its fantastic visuals and puppetry: freaky pink things with detachable limbs, a fox that rides a sheepdog, a bog of eternal stench, and an M. C. Escher-inspired finale.

Accidentally zapped back into the 1950s, Marty McFly (Fox) inadvertently interferes with the budding romance of his now-teenaged parents. Our hero must reunite his parents-to-be, lest he ceases to exist in the 1980s.

Some sites are also catered (check descriptions when booking) and no food purchased outside is permitted either. Entry is on presentation of a booking reference code, e-ticket or printed ticket. Only if a film is cancelled or terminated will refunds be made. In the event of a cancellation we will endeavour to contact all ticket holders as soon as possible.
