We’re delighted that Panter Hudspith Architects have been crowned winners in the Sports & Leisure category at the BD Architect of the Year Awards for their work on the newest members of the Picturehouse family: Crouch End Picturehouse; East Dulwich Picturehouse & Café and Picturehouse Central.
Crouch End Picturehouse, is an extensive refurbishment of one of the only remaining modernist buildings of its type in Crouch End, to create a five-screen community cinema complete with bar/restaurant and cafe.
East Dulwich Picturehouse is a sensitive revival of a Victorian church and school to create a three screen art-house cinema and cafe. While Picturehouse Central is an extensive redevelopment of part of the Grade II Listed Trocadero complex in London’s West End to create the group’s 1000 seat cinema, Picturehouse Central – home to premieres and the Sundance Film Festival: London.
