Kids’ Bike Swap
The Kids’ Bike Swap was started by Matt and Penny – the Micycle founders. As parents they saw how quickly kids grow out of bikes. They wanted to set up a scheme to facilitate a pass-me-down bicycle culture, with families using Micycle as the local hub for exchange.
The premise is that there are lots of kids’ bikes sitting in gardens, sheds and garages that kids have grown out of and are now in a state of disrepair. We want these bikes to be used.
The kids’ bike swap is run from all three Micycles and has supplied hundreds of families with free bikes over the last five years.
Dr Bike And Maintenance Sessions
Two Micycle Mechanics will be on site at Crouch End Picturehouse with tools and parts to offer free Dr Bike assessments and basic mechanic tuition to help families fix up their kids’ bikes.
