Hackney Picturehose

Greg and Earl love making their own versions of famous movies, and Rachel loves to watch their films. They invent some great artwork to go with them.

Why not try your hand at your own spoof DVD cover? If we like it we’ll include it in our Me And Earl And The Dying Girl display, and you could win film tickets, film merchandise or even a year’s Membership.

Email your entry to kirsty.j@picturehouses.co.uk before Friday 28 August. Designs must be compatible with DVD dimensions.

Me And Earl And The Dying Girl is released on Friday 4 September.

Director: Alfonso Gomez-Rejon.
Starring: Thomas Mann, Olivia Cooke, R. J. Cyler. USA 2015. 105 mins.

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s second feature is a smart, witty tale built upon an unlikely premise. Rachel (Cooke) has leukaemia; Greg (Mann) is a sarky student obliged by his overbearing mother to befriend her; and the titular Earl (Cyler) is the pal with whom Greg shares a love of movies.

Terms and conditions:

All artwork must be original. Entry deadline is midnight on Friday 28 August 2015. In submitting an entry you give your permission for your artwork to be displayed. A team of three people will choose 20 designs to be displayed based on originality and design. We will email all applicants that have been successful in being included in the display. From the displayed entrants, three overall competition winners will be chosen. Picturehouse Cinemas’ decision is final. Prize winners will be contacted via email. Prizes can be collected from Hackney Picturehouse by the winner with their winning email. If prizes are not collected within 21 days, another winner will be selected. Subject to Picturehouse Cinemas’ standard terms and conditions. Redemption of film tickets is according to the cinema entrance terms and conditions.
