Cinema City Presents Picturehouse Pop-Up

Cinema City presents a series of outdoor screenings in the Plantation Garden on Earlham Road, Norwich. 

We bring four terrific films to a huge screen in Norwich’s beautiful secret garden. The Grade II English Heritage-registered Plantation Garden will be our unique, idyllic open-air auditorium, perfect for watching a movie under the stars.

Screenings will take place around 9.00, or as soon as it becomes dark. You are invited to arrive early, relax and enjoy a drink in the beautiful surroundings. Gates will open at 7.00.

Boasting a typically starry cast, the most recent film from writer-director Anderson (Moonrise Kingdom) centres on the titular hotel, its savvy concierge (Fiennes), his lobby boy, and their frantic adventures following the bequest of a priceless painting. Glorious fun.

Some Like It Hot (U)

Director: Billy Wilder. Starring: Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon. USA 1959. 121 mins.

One of Wilder’s funniest comedies. Curtis and Lemmon play jazz musicians on the run after witnessing the St Valentine’s Day massacre, masquerading in drag as members of an all-girl band to escape the clutches of Chicago mobster George Raft.
