David Hockney famously created works of art on his iPad. To celebrate the release of HOCKNEY, you are invited to create your own iPad art using any app of your choice. If chosen by our panel of judges, your work will be shown on cinema screens around the UK before an exclusive preview and live satellite Q&A with Hockney from his L.A. studio.
To enter, send your digital artwork as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘Hockney Competition’ in the subject line. Please send the file at the highest possible resolution. The competition closes at 6pm on Monday 10 November. Terms and Conditions apply.
HOCKNEY is the definitive exploration of one of the most significant artists of his generation. For the first time, David Hockney has given access to his personal archive of photographs and film, resulting in an unparalleled visual diary, from his early life in working-class Bradford to his relocation to Hollywood, where his lifelong struggle to escape labels (‘queer’, ‘working class’, ‘figurative artist’) was fully realised. Acclaimed filmmaker Randall Wright offers a unique view of the unconventional and charismatic artist.
Join us for an exclusive gala preview followed by an in-depth conversation with David Hockney from his Los Angeles studio, broadcast live into cinemas via satellite on Thursday 25 November. Click here for booking information.
