Cinema Spectacular! – at The Ritzy, Brixton
Featuring The Clapham Conjuror and Authentic 1940s Usherettes
Tuesday 16 February, 1pm-3pm.
Why not try something a little different this half-term ? The Ritzy Cinema is proud to present a very special intergenerational event recreating the feel of children’s cinema of the 1940s to appeal to old and young alike. The programme will feature classic cartoons introduced with live magic from The Clapham Conjuror, an ice-cream interval and prizes to be won! See your old favourites Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, and look out for Detective Droopy and a whole host of other characters! The event will also include archive footage of what the 1940s cinema experience was really like, and will be hosted as always by our resident film expert Graham Rinaldi accompanied by traditionally-dressed usherettes. So treat yourself to an ice-cream in the interval and don’t forget to stand up for the national anthem as the screening comes to a close!
Bring your family and friends! Games and prizes to be won!
